All lanes of Highway 17 re-opened this morning, several hours after a tree fell blocking lanes between Summit and the Glenwood area. The northbound lanes re-opened about 6:30 a.m., while the southbound lanes re-opened around 7 a.m. Power has also been restored to that area.
The 8 PG&E. customers without power on or near Lower Trabing Road in the Larkin Valley area are expected to get their power restored by 8 p.m. this evening. The downed power line that caused that outage is being replaced. Those customers lost their power at 2:31 p.m. yesterday.
Several PG&E customers in Monterey, who have been without power since yesterday, are also expected to get their power back this afternoon. They are located near Dennis the Menace Park. PG&E hopes to have power restored there by 1 p.m. today.
A number of PG&E customers were without power off Eureka Canyon Road near Rider Creek. Their power, which went out at 3:36 this morning, is expected to be restored by noon today.
More than 50 PG&E customers are currently without power in the Big Sur area, south of Garrapata State Park.
