A Scotts Valley man was arrested on attempted burglary charges early Sunday morning. Police arrived at a business on Mount Hermon Road shortly after midnight to investigate a burglar alarm. Officers found a door forced open, a search of the area turned up a suspect. 23-year-old Jordan James Rees admitted to breaking into the store with the intent to steal bicycles. Rees was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
