A Salinas murder suspect was mistakenly released from jail on Thursday. The Monterey County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that murder suspect, 36-year-old Antonio Miranda Martinez was accidentally released at 6:45 p.m. Martinez is charged with the March 18th murder of 47-year-old Juan Pedraza. The release came after prosecutors in legal maneuvers dropped murder charges Thursday morning, then simultaneously re-filed the murder charges with a $1.2 million bail. Anyone with any information on Martinez’s whereabouts is urged to call 911.
