California’s Department of Motor Vehicles is preparing to issue drivers licenses to over 1 million undocumented immigrants. The DMV is making changes before Assembly Bill 60 takes effect on January 3^rd. The new law will grant licenses to immigrants who submit identification from their home countries. The DMV plans to expand Saturday hours at up to 60 of its offices. The department will also allow individuals to make appointments 90 days in advance.
