The woman accused of driving recklessly and hitting a 10-year-old in Watsonville was denied an increase in bail this morning. 19-year-old Brenda Velador also pleaded not guilty in a Santa Cruz Superior Courtroom to new vehicular manslaughter charges. 10-year-old Jesse Ventura suffered a severe brain injury resulting from the collision in March, and passed away in October. Velador will be back in court on December 15th for a preliminary hearing.
