Fire departments in Monterey County are collaborating with a California non-profit to help fire and disaster victims. Monterey and Seaside firefighters will join the California Fire Foundation to implement the Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency Program or SAVE. SAVE provides families suffering a significant loss following a fire or disaster with on-the-spot assistance. Monterey and Seaside are among 30 departments around the state participating in the program.
