A Salinas-based produce co-op, that has been in business for 25 years, has moved to a new location in the city. Markon Cooperative Incorporated, which is owned by eight food service distribution companies, has moved from Park Row to a long-vacant bank building on South Main Street. The partner companies serve customers ranging from restaurants to schools. Although the company has a wide range of products, they are best known for their Markon First Crop, Markon Essentials, and Ready-Set-Serve labels.
