A woman accused of driving recklessly and injuring a child in Watsonville will be arraigned on vehicular manslaughter charges on Wednesday. In March, Brenda Alcala-Velador allegedly hit 10-year-old Jesse Ventura while he was riding his scooter through a crosswalk on Riverside Drive. Ventura was treated at a Bay Area Medical center for a brain injury resulting form the collision up until his death on October 22nd.
