King City’s former Police Chief appeared in court yesterday after being charged with perjury. Nick Baldiviez and five other officers were arrested in February in connection with an illegal towing scheme. Baldiviez allegedly lied during his preliminary hearing about the title transfer of a police vehicle to another officer. Following testimonies, the court found enough probable cause to believe the police chief committed the offense. Baldiviez is due back in court November 14th for arraignment.
