Two masked men brandishing firearms attempted to rob La Michoacana Market in Salinas last night around 8:30 p.m. Fearful for his life, the market’s clerk retrieved a gun and fired, causing both men to flee. The clerk reported seeing both masked men escaping down Towt Street.
