TWO MEN AND A WOMAN WILL FACE TRIAL FOR A SHOOTING IN LIVE OAK. A SANTA CRUZ COUNTY JUDGE MADE A TENTATIVE RULING FRIDAY. A 43-YEAR-OLD WOMAN WAS BLINDED WHEN 21-YEAR-OLD DAMIAN HERRERA ATTEMPTED TO SHOOT A RIVAL GANG MEMBER WITH A SHOTGUN LAST YEAR. HERRERA, 19-YEAR-OLD GIAVANNA HAGIO, AND 22-YEAR-OLD JUAN MANUEL CASTILLO THEN FLED THE SCENE. ALL THREE HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER, GANG PARTICIPATION, AND USE OF A FIREARM WITH GREAT BODILY INJURY. THE RULING WILL BE FINALIZED TODAY.
