WATSONVILLE POLICE ARRESTED A SALINAS MAN ON SATURDAY. THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE AT ABOUT 3:30 P-M, IN A PARKING LOT ON THE 14-HUNDRED BLOCK OF FREEDOM BOULEVARD. NEARBY OFFICERS ARRIVED ON SCENE WITHIN A MINUTE OF REPORTS OF A DISTURBANCE. POLICE SAY THAT 36 YEAR OLD DAVID PEREZ SORIA HAD THREATENED SEVERAL PEOPLE EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER BACKING INTO A PARKED CAR. POLICE STOPPED THE SUSPECT’S CAR FROM LEAVING THE SCENE AT GUNPOINT. A SEARCH OF THE VEHICLE TURNED UP AN ILLEGALLY MODIFIED SHOTGUN. SORIA WAS BOOKED INTO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY JAIL ON D-U-I, GUN AND THREAT CHARGES.
