THE KING CITY POLICE OFFICERS ACCUSED OF EMBEZZLEMENT AND PERJURY HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED FOR TRIAL. YESTERDAY (WED), FORMER POLICE CHIEF NICK BALDIVIEZ AND OFFICER MATIO MOTTU SENIOR PLEADED NOT GUILTY TO ALL CHARGES CONNECTING THEM TO A TOWING SCHEME TARGETING LOW-INCOME DRIVERS. PRE-TRIAL DISCUSSIONS WILL BEGIN AT THE END OF THE MONTH. THE TRIAL HAS BEEN SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 20TH.
