KING CITY HAS FORMED A COMMITTEE TO SELECT A NEW POLICE CHIEF FOLLOWING THE ARREST OF SIX OFFICERS ON CHARGES OF EMBEZZLEMENT. THE ARRESTS WERE MADE IN FEBRUARY AFTER ALLEGATIONS OF AN ILLEGAL TOWING SCHEME. THE CITY MANAGER HAS CHOSEN FOUR PEOPLE TO SIT ON THE SELECTION COMMITTEE AND PICK A NEW INTERIM POLICE CHIEF. ACTING CHIEF BRUCE MILLER AND SERGEANT BOBBY CARRILLO WILL APPEAR IN COURT TODAY FOR THEIR ONGOING PRELIMINARY HEARING.
