A 110-FOOT TALL WOODEN SHIP NAMED THE “IRVING JOHNSON” IS DOCKED AT FISHERMAN’S WHARF IN MONTEREY OVER THE WEEKEND. THE SHIP WAS BUILT IN 2003 AND DESIGNED TO LAST 100 YEARS. THE IRVING JOHNSON DESIGNATED THE OFFICIAL TALL SHIP AND MARITIME AMBASSADOR OF THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES, IS USED PRIMARILY FOR YOUTH EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH NEXT WEEKEND.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
The ship will be open noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday.
The ship will be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
