2 lawsuits, that were filed against a Salinas-based company, have been dropped. The cases were against Tanimura & Antle, and linked people’s deaths to strains of E. coli being found on Romaine lettuce back in August of 2009, and August of 2012. One case was dropped because a full trace-back of the lettuce involved was not conducted, and the other was dropped because the dead-woman’s husband chose not to continue his wrongful death lawsuit because his wife had already been sick prior to ingesting the produce.
