AN ENDURANCE ROWING COMPETITION ACROSS THE PACIFIC OCEAN HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED. THE START OF THE GREAT PACIFIC RACE WAS DELAYED THIS WEEK DUE TO HIGH OFF-SHORE WINDS. THE ROWERS WILL NOW SET-OUT MONDAY FROM MONTEREY AND RACE 24-HUNDRED MILES TO HAWAII. PARTICIPANTS ALSO PLAN TO LAUNCH THEIR BOATS TOMORROW NEAR CANNERY ROW FOR A PUBLIC DEMONSTRATION.
