AN EMERGENCY WATER PIPELINE LINKING THE SAN LORENZO AND LOMPICO WATER DISTRICTS IS EXPECTED TO GO ON LINE TODAY (MON). THE NEW PIPELINE, BUILT AT A COST OF 152-THOUSAND DOLLARS WAS PAID FOR WITH STATE EMERGENCY FUNDS, AND IS TO BE USED ONLY IN CASE OF FIRE. LOMPICO WAS ALMOST TO THE POINT OF TRUCKING IN WATER AS THE COMMUNITY ALMOST DEPLETED ITS WATER RESERVES AS 2 OF ITS 3 WELLS WERE REPAIRED. THE LOMPICO WATER DISTRICT WILL BE HOLDING A MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY AT 6:30 P-M TO AT THE ZAYANTE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO DISCUSS WATER RATIONING FINES.
