HIGHWAY 9 IN THE SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS WAS THE SITE OF 2 ROAD CLOSING ACCIDENTS ON SATURDAY. THE 1ST HAPPENED SHORTLY BEFORE 2 P-M AT THE 3.2 MILE MARKER. ACCORDING TO C-H-P SOURCES A CAR SOUTHBOUND LOST CONTROL AND CRASHED HEAD ON INTO AN ONCOMING PICKUP TRUCK. 1 PERSON WAS LIFE FLIGHTED TO A BAY AREA TRAUMA CENTER AND AT LEAST 2 OTHERS WERE TAKEN TO A BAY AREA HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. THE 2ND ACCIDENT WAS NEAR BOULDER CREEK WERE A DRIVER ROLLED A PICKUP TRUCK SUSTAINING MINOR INJURIES.
