CALIFORNIA OFFICIALS ARE URGING STURGEON ANGLERS TO RETURN THEIR REPORT CARDS FOR 2013. THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE HAVE HAD TO ISSUE A REMINDER AFTER ONLY 15-PERCENT OF CARDS WERE RETURNED AROUND THE JANUARY 31ST DEADLINE. ANGLERS ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO COMPLETE THE REPORTS SO THAT THE C-D-F-W CAN KEEP TRACK OF STURGEON POPULATIONS. FISHERMEN CAN EITHER MAIL IN THEIR REPORT CARDS OR FILL THEM OUT ON THE FISH AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT’S WEBSITE.
