THE CITY OF MARINA IS CURRENTLY DEBATING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF FORT ORD’S WATER SUPPLY. THE FORT ORD REUSE AUTHORITY IS WORKING TO APPROVE OR DENY FUTURE PROJECTS. AUTHORITY OFFICIALS SAYS ONE-THIRD OF THE WATER HAS BEEN USED AND MORE WILL BE AVAILABLE. FORT ORD WATER CONSERVATIONISTS HAVE EXPRESSED CONCERN, ASSERTING THAT THERE ISN’T ENOUGH WATER TO SUPPLY FUTURE DEVELOPMENT. THE F-O-R-A IS MAKING PLANS WITH THE MARINA COAST WATER DISTRICT FOR THE EXTRA WATER THE FORT IS COMMITTED TO SUPPLYING.
