Design plans are in the works for a renovation project planned for the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. The firm ELS Architecture and Urban Design was selected based on it’s experience in historic theater renovation. The project will be funded with a grant by the David and Lucille Packard Foundation. Renovation planning is expected to focus on performing arts and cultural activities. Improvements are expected to include patron comfort, performer accessibility, and city-cost efficiency.
