Local Headset maker Plantronics has announced strong earnings for the third fiscal quarter of 2014. The Santa Cruz based company reported an 8% jump in year-over-year revenues for the quarter, and a 4% increase in earnings per-share. Company officials attribute the boost to several one-time factors, higher than expected revenues, lower costs along with a lower tax burden. The company credits it’s continued growth to it’s position in the unified communications market and their technology leadership.
