Police at UC Santa Cruz are asking for the public’s help in identifying a possible arsonist who set a small fire near one of the college’s parking lots last week. Authorities believe the fire set early on the morning of January 9th at the Porter College lot is suspicious, and say it may be connected to other fires deliberately set last summer and fall. Police are looking for a white man in his early twenties, about 5-feet-11-inches tall, 150 pounds with a thin build, dark hair and eyes and a pale complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket and a light colored shirt. Anyone with any information is asked to call UCSC police.
