A Monterey County Gym reopened today after the city shut it down last week due to sewage system problems. Officials say Fitness Evolution was shut down Friday because of a faulty sewage pump that prevented the building, on the 2000 block of Garden Road, to dispose waste. A Monterey permit and inspection services building official says he was under the impression the sewage system was not working for at least 2 weeks. The building is also home to Cypress Coast Physical therapy, which was also closed.
