The Santa Cruz County Coroner’s office reports the man who fell to his death at a Seabright Beach this week, died from complications due to the fall. The man, who was found at about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday at the base of San Lorenzo Point, has been identified as Florida resident 28-year old Anthony Messer. Police say a campsite was found at the top of the cliff with the man’s belongings and several empty containers, along with a 4-to-6-year old German Shepard, that was transported to the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter.
