As of yesterday, A Watsonville businessman remains in critical condition after being shot by his nephew earlier this week. 55-year old Ramiro Romo suffered critical injuries early Wednesday morning when he and a group of men including his nephew, 23-year old Josue Romo were drinking and doing drugs at Romo’s Auto Sales on Riverside Drive. The man’s nephew told police he fired the weapon to prevent his uncle from getting control of it. Josue Romo was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. His uncle, Ramiro Romo is the owner of multiple shops, offices and properties in Watsonville including the auto sales shop where the shooting occurred.
