A two-week prescribed burn is planned for a portion of Big Basin State Park. The 350-acre controlled burn is expected to begin Sunday November 3rd and continue for the next two weeks weather permitting. As a result, Gazos Creek Road and Johanson Road may be closed for a few days. The burn is being conducted in an effort to reduce the threat of wildfire, and enhance natural resources within the park.
