A 52-year old King City man suffered fatal injuries after a 5-car pile-up accident early yesterday morning in South Monterey County. The incident occurred just after 5:30 a.m. when the driver of a Big-Rig said she was crossing southbound traffic at Highway 101 at Underwood Road near King City, when a Chevrolet pick-up truck collided into the Rig’s trailer. The impact of the collision caused the pick-up truck to spin around and face south in a northbound lane prior to being struck by two other vehicles, a Honda Accord and a Dodge truck. A 5thvehicle collided into the Dodge truck. A northbound lane remained closed for well into the afternoon.
