A sought-after carjacking suspect led officers on a 45-minute car chase through two counties before he was finally arrested yesterday morning. Royal Oaks resident 29-year old Nathan Jared Anderson was wanted on suspicion of carjacking, vehicle theft, evading police and a parole violation. Police say yesterday’s pursuit added new charges of striking a police car, hit-and-run and attempted carjacking. The alleged car thief began leading officers on a high speed chase in North Monterey County around 9:15 a.m., when officers used spike strips to end the pursuit outside a Freedom Boulevard K-Mart store in Watsonville around 10 a.m. Anderson is suspected of carjacking a woman near Highway 129 on October 9th, and is believed to have stolen at least 3 other vehicles since then.
