The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is asking for the public’s help in locating the person who stole a 2-month old Pit Bull Puppy this week. The suspicious man was seen yesterday afternoon looking at the dogs in the shelter’s kennels. Staff members say around 4:30 p.m. they noticed a roughly 20-pound, black male dog named Boots was missing, after a kennel was found unlocked. The man is described as a white man in his early 20s, with dark hair who wore a head lamp around his neck. He was last seen wearing a cut-off basketball jersey and cut-off basketball shorts. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at 831-471-1121.
