Two families were displaced in Aptos this morning after firefighters responded to a 2-alarm structure fire. Five agencies responded at 1:14 a.m. to the 3-thousand block of Redwood Drive. Cal Fire reports two homes were destroyed in the blaze along with one out building, while a third residence sustained some fire damage. A half-acre was also burned. The blaze was contained as of 2:32 a.m. No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation.
