THE CITY OF CARMEL HAS DECIDED THAT A 12-FOOT DINOSAUR SCULPTURE ON 6TH AVENUE NEEDS PERMITS. CITY OFFICIALS ARGUE THAT THE DINOSAUR IS A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD THAT MUST GO THROUGH THE REGULAR PLANNING PROCESS THAT TAKES NEIGHBOR CONCERNS INTO CONSIDERATION. WHILE SOME NEIGHBORS CONSIDER THE DINOSAUR AN AMUSING NOVELTY, OTHERS WANT THE PLANNING AND ZONING LAWS FOLLOWED.
