THE CAUSE OF AN OUTAGE THAT LEFT OVER 5,000 SANTA CRUZ COUNTY PG&E CUSTOMERS WITHOUT POWER FOR OVER AN HOUR THIS MORNING, IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION. A SPOKESPERSON FOR PG&E SAYS ELECTRICITY WAS KNOCKED OUT IN THE BEACH HILL AREA AND THE WESTSIDE OF SANTA CRUZ AROUND 8:10. CREWS WORKED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM NEAR SECOND AND FRONT STREETS IN SANTA CRUZ. POWER WAS RESTORED TO THE MAJORITY OF CUSTOMERS BY 9:20 A.M. NO FIRE AND/OR INJURIES WERE REPORTED DUE TO THE OUTAGE.
