A MAN FOUND DEAD THIS WEEK ON THE SAN LORENZO RIVER LEVEE HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED. AUTHORITIES SAY 33-YEAR OLD CHARLES CLARK WAS A TRANSIENT WHO LIVED IN SANTA CRUZ. THE CAUSE OF DEATH IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION. CLARK’S BODY WAS FOUND ON THE LEVEE NEAR SOQUEL AVENUE AND FRONT STREET AROUND 6:45 MONDAY MORNING. AUTHORITIES SUSPECT HE DIED OF A DRUG OVERDOSE SINCE A SYRINGE WAS FOUND NEXT TO HIM.
