Monterey – Salinas transit is rolling out 4 new hybrid buses.
The 30 passenger hybrid buses were funded by the Federal Transit Administration Clean Fuels Grant.
The buses decrease emissions and increase fuel efficiency by about 30%.
They are currently in service on line 1 in Pacific Grove and line 24, the Carmel Valley Grapevine express.
