A man Monterey county authorities were search for in connection with a rape investigation was arrested when he tried to lure a teen into his car.
The attempted kidnapping took place Saturday afternoon when 31 year-old Manuel Sanchez drove alongside a 16-year-old girl near Closter Park in Salinas.
The teen called police and responding officers located Sanchez nearby and arrested him for annoying and molesting a child.
