A 57 YEAR-OLD MAN SUFFERED LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES IN SANTA CRUZ THIS MORNING, WHEN HE WAS TRAPPED BETWEEN A TOW-TRUCK AND HIS R.V. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED SHORTLY BEFORE 8:30 A-M, NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF MARKET AND WATER STREETS, WHILE HE WAS TRYING TO JUMP START HIS R.V. HE SUFFERED SERIOUS INJURIES TO HIS ABDOMEN AND LOWER EXTREMITIES, AND WAS AIR-LIFTED TO A BAY AREA TRAUMA CENTER.
THE TOW TRUCK, WHICH WAS REPORTEDLY IN “DRIVE” WHEN IT SLID FORWARD (TRAPPING THE MAN), HAD TO BE MOVED BACK TO FREE HIM.
