A car stolen from a high school parking lot in Salinas was recovered less than an hour after the theft on Friday. Salinas Police received the report that a Cadillac Escalade had been stolen from Alisal High School at 3pm. An officer spotted the SUV nearby, and stopped it as it was turning back into the school parking lot. The school was momentarily locked down while officers arrested 25-year-old Aaron Jimenez. A passenger in the car was released after they were found not to be involved.
