A FIGHT THAT BROKE OUT YESTERDAY IN THE AREA OF 1726 FREEDOM BOULEVARD IN WATSONVILLE ESCALATED TO A STABBING. OFFICERS ARRIVED ON THE SCENE AND COULD NOT LOCATE THE PERSONS FIGHTING BUT A SHORT TIME LATER WERE CALLED TO THE WATSONVILLE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL FOR A STABBING VICTIM. THE VICTIM WAS AIRLIFTED TO A BAY AREA TRAUMA CENTER DUE TO LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES. AFTER INVESTIGATION IT WAS DETERMINED NATHAN NAVARRO STABBED THE VICTIM THREE TIMES IN THE STOMACH DURING A NON-GANG RELATED ALTERCATION. AT AROUND 2:15 A-M THIS MORNING, NAVARRO WAS LOCATED AT A RESIDENCE IN THE 100 BLOCK OF ROBERTA DRIVE. HE WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WITHOUT INCIDENT AND BOOKED INTO SANTA CRUZ COUNTY JAIL ON ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES.
