A man who was originally picked up for the attempted shooting of a murdered man’s twin is in custody again for the charge. 20-year-old Jonah Namauu was originally taken into custody on January 17th following an incident on Laurel Street where he allegedly fired shots at the twin brother of recently slain Pauly Silva and another man. No one was injured in that incident, and Namauu was released while the district attorney considered charges. Namauu was arrested on Tuesday for assault with a deadly weapon and was slated to be arraigned today. No one had been arrested in connection with the murder of Pauly Silva in downtown Santa Cruz.
