A ROUTINE BAIL HEARING IN SANTA CRUZ COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT TOOK A DRAMATIC TURN THURSDAY. PROSECUTORS NAMED A 49-YEAR-OLD MAN AS A SUSPECT IN A RECENT SOQUEL HILLS HOMICIDE. COLIN SEAN TISDALE HAS NOT YET BEEN CHARGED BUT IS NAMED AS A PRIME SUSPECT IN THE MURDER OF JEFFREY STEPHENSEN SMITH. JUDGE SYMONS OF THE SANTA CRUZ COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT CONSIDERED THE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION IN THE BAIL SET FOR TISDALE, BUT SET BAIL AT 250,000$ IN PART BECAUSE HE IS BEING HELD ONLY ON A CHARGE OF DRUG POSSESSION. Smith, a father of a 17-month old girl, was found shot to death in the driveway of his home on the 300 block of Nicasio Way AT about 3:15 a.m. ON AUGUST 16th.
