A 30-year-old man was arrested in king city Monday night, after he threatened to assault monterey county sheriff’s deputies. King city resident martin olmos was stopped for a vehicle check on pine canyon road at about 10 p.m. after conducting a probation search on the vehicle, deputies found a baseball bat. Olmos challenged the deputies to fight, after they declared that the bat was a weapon that olmos could not posses. He was taken into custody for resisting arrest and other charges, and was booked into monterey county jail.
