3-people were rescued this weekend off of point pinos in pacific grove, after their boat ran aground on some rocks. the distress call came in at about 6 o’clock saturday morning, when the 24-foot boat crashed in the foggy conditions. the on-board GPS had reportedly failed. rescue crews from monterey fire department and the u.s. coast guard responded to the accident. 1-of the 4-people involved was able to make it to shore on their own. 1-person was pulled from the water, while 2-others were rescued from nearby rocks. all 4 victims were taken to community hospital of the monterey peninsula. 1-victim was suffering from hypothermia, while the other 3-were treated for minor injuries.
