A 33-year-old man has been convicted by a monterey county jury of possession of a firearm by a felon. Salinas resident Anthony Hernandez was arrested in September of last year, after salinas police officers found him with a gun, (which he is prevented from possessing). Hernandez is scheduled to return to a monterey county courtroom for sentencing September 27th. He faces up to 8-years behind bars (due to his previous convictions).
