A teen who escaped from a youth detention center in Salinas yesterday is still on the loose. 16-year-old Robert Campos was seen escaping the facility around 7:30 pm on Sunday, through a hole in the fence that is thought to have been cut by an accomplice at an earlier time. Campos was last seen running toward Cesar Chavez Park, wearing a purple shirt, black sweatpants, and no shoes. An extensive search of the area and Campos’ last known address did not turn him up. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Robert Campos is asked to contact the Salinas Police Department.
