Watsonville Police arrested two men Friday after a report about a residential fight led them to the discovery of an illegal drug operation. Officers were dispatched to a house on Westwind Court about 3:45pm to investigate a possible fight with a weapon. Upon arrival, the officers detained the individuals fighting in the garage of the residence. 25-year-old Miguel Sanchez and 32-year-old Paulino Sanchez were taken into custody on charges related to the conflict. It was then that police also uncovered what appeared to be a drug operation concentrating marijuana into hash, as well as 4.5 pounds of marijuana and several empty chemical cans. An additional charge of manufacturing concentrated cannabis was given to Paulino and Miguel Sanchez, and both were booked into Santa Cruz County jail.
