VARIOUS PEOPLE ARE CURRENTLY MONITORING A GREAT WHITE SHARK OFF THE COAST OF MANRESA BEACH. IT HAS REPORTEDLY BEEN IN THE AREA FOR MOST OF THE DAY. SEAN VAN SOMMERAN, WITH THE SANTA CRUZ-BASED PELAGIC SHARK RESEARCH FOUNDATION SAYS THAT SEEING GREAT WHITE SHARKS IN THE MONTEREY BAY IS VERY COMMON AT THIS TIME OF YEAR. IN FACT, IT’S PRETTY COMMON UNTIL AT LEAST OCTOBER. THE PEOPLE KEEPING AN EYE ON TODAY’S GREAT WHITE SHARK SAY IT’S NOT ALL THAT CLOSE TO SHORE, AND DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A THREAT TO ANYONE.
