A collection of monterey county non-profits have been awarded a total of 50-thousand dollars worth of grants. The money from the community foundation for monterey county is set to go to 24 area programs. The 2012 neighborhood grants program money is set to be formally awarded Saturday in salinas, (where nearly half the grants are going). The average grant amount was just over 2-thousand dollars.
