An accident on highway-17 thursday morning had traffic backed up onto northbound highway-1 in santa cruz. A truck hit a power pole near the Lexington reservoir at about 9:45 a.m., which knocked down live wires. pg and e crews were called to repair the pole and clear the wires. Traffic began moving slowly through the area after 1-lane was re-opened at 11:30 a.m., however traffic remained backed up for several hours.
